Permit Issuer & Permit Receiver Training
Duration: One-day
On our site, using our permits, or on your site using your permit to work system. This covers NZQA Unit Standards:
17588 – Apply for, Accept, and Carry Out Work, according to a Work Permit in the Workplace
17590 -Issue Worksite Specific Work Permits

Permit types and procedures vary between workplaces. Training explores these differences so participants can understand how permit systems apply across different sites.
Permit receivers and issuers train together to build a shared understanding of their responsibilities and how their roles connect.

Risk Assessment Training
Duration: One additional day — two days combined
Add Risk Assessment training to the one-day Permit-to-Work course. This option covers Unit Standard 30265: Apply health and safety risk assessment to a job role; and 17593: Apply safe work practices in the workplace.
Develop your understanding of workplace risk assessment and documents such as Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs).
Combined Permit-to-Work and Risk Assessment training: From $550 + GST.
This course is provided through a contracting arrangement between the primary contract holder, Pacific Coast Technical Institute (PCTI), and its sub-contractor, Elite Training Services Limited. Working with PCTI, we developed an NZQA approved training scheme (NZQA Ref C30684) for Permit-to-Work
