Workplace Health & Safety Training

Up-skill and get a better understanding of Health and Safety

Depending on the level of experience, we have two course options

Comprehensive Workplace H&S and Risk Assessment Course: $250 + GST

For schools: Basic Workplace Health and Safety Course: $TBA

Using our industrial backgrounds in contracting on “serious hazard facilities”, our health and safety courses draw directly from real‑world experience managing high‑risk working environments. Courses are delivered by current industry practitioners who teach practical, field‑tested methods and decision-making approaches.

Training focuses on understanding and applying active versus passive controls so trainees can select the most appropriate measures for each task. We cover:

  • Practical risk assessment techniques tailored specifically to the clients needs / requirements, or using examples from our backgrounds to assist in understanding.

  • When to apply passive controls (Engineering Barriers / Guarding, Permanent Guard-Rails, Safety Nets, Ventilation Design, Interlocks, Light Curtains etc) for inherent risk reduction

  • When active controls (Procedures, Permit-to-Work, PPE, Rescue Teams / ERT, Supervision) are necessary to manage residual hazards

  • How to layer controls effectively combining passive and active measures for robust risk mitigation

  • Realistic scenario‑based exercises that reinforce correct control selection, emergency response, and rescue planning

Participants leave with clear, actionable knowledge: how to evaluate a work task, choose the best mix of controls, and implement systems that improve safety and operational efficiency on site.

Comprehensive Workplace Health & Safety Course
