High Angle Rescue
This course is carried out on a case-by-case basis. The basics are all the same: Get down from height, or get a patient down from height as safely as possible, and in a timely manner. This unfortunately can also be body recovery from cranes etc, where the operator has had a heart attack or suchlike.
This course is often run totally specific to a clients needs, and at the successful completion, the trainees receive a Certificate-of-Competency -with the details of the rescue training listed on the certificate. For this reason, the exact details of the training differ for every client.
Many clients choose to link the Rescue course onto the end of their Height Safety training.
Duration: The rescue course is worked out on a case-by-case basis. Some clients will only benefit from the one day rescue course, as an addition to the 2 day Height Safety course. Other clients may wish to choose a more comprehensive week long package. This is made up of 2 days of the basic height safety course, then followed by 3 days of intense rescue training (known as High-Angle Rescue training).
If this training is not enough, then the next logical level is conducting the first stage of Industrial Rope Access. This is a multi-level training package, conducted 2 weeks at a time, over a period of 2 years. The first stage of this is a 2 week course.
